Facebook-owned messaging platform Whatsapp has released a new sticker feature for its users. This new feature will be available after an update. The iOS users can find the stickers packs via an extra sub-menu in the section of the app that is used to send photos and videos.
In the Android app, the sticker packs can be accessed through a new sub-menu that has been added to the emoji section. Initially the users will get their hands on only one sticker pack but they would be able to download new packs later. Whatsapp will also support third-party sticker packs.
A user will need to click on the received sticker to view extra information about that particular sticker pack if they don’t have it installed. Alternatively, it can be added to a user’s section of favorite stickers.
To send a sticker on Whatsapp, you will need to tap on the sticker button, Whatsapp will take you to Whatsapp store where you can choose and download your favorite sticker packs. All packs are for free.
This new update was highly welcomed by the Whatsapp users on social media. One user from India tweeted a screenshot of his Whatsapp showing the exciting stickers he found in the sub-menu.
