Trump, south Korea’s moon to discuss North Korea at U. N this month

According to recent reports, Trump and South Korea’s moon are expected to have a meeting which will be about North Korea. On Tuesday Moon’s office said that U.S. President Donald Trump and South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in hope to have a major discussion on North Korea concerning with the sidelines of the two countries with all the U.N. General Assembly officials in New York before the end of this month. Nevertheless, the discussion also aims at the lackluster progress based on the North Korean nuclear issues.

However, on Tuesday, Moon and Trump spoke over the telephone for an estimate of 50 minutes according to government officials, this was immediately before Moon’s special envoys visit Pyongyang with the aim of discussing a 3rd summit which was going to be held later this month between South Korean and the liberal one-time liberal North Korean leader. Nevertheless, this summit was to be held until last month when the plan of the inter-Korean summit begun immediately after Trump’s cancellation to visit Pyongyang together with Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State last month. This cancellation followed after Pompeo was mailed a belligerent letter from one of the senior North Korean official.

Nevertheless, Moon’s office in a statement said that Moon and Trump in their telephone call, the purpose of the meeting was to explore all ideas of meeting the expected margins of the U.N. General Assembly in person and also have an in-depth consultations concerned with the strategies on nuclear issues and ways to cooperate with the peninsula issues. On the other hand, Kim, the North Korean leader vowed during unprecedented summit which he called with Trump in April in Singapore in working toward the completion of denuclearization of Korean Peninsula, however, the two parties till date have made very little progress towards achievement of this goal.

However, Earlier Tuesday, Chung Eui-yong, the chief of national security officials to the Seoul’s presidential in Blue House stated that he expects to deliver the letter personal from Moon to Kim the day he visits North Korea. However, Chung Eui-yong didn’t disclose any of its contents.
